The leading Etsy shops inside a single category.
What this page shows
Choose a category and see the top shops in it, ranked by completed sales, with the same columns as the global list and the same precise meanings: Total sales is the all time real Etsy transaction count. Opened is the year the shop joined Etsy. Country is the shop location, best available. Listings is the active listings in the shop right now. Rating is the average review score, and Reviews is the all time review count. The categories follow Etsy's own top level groups, such as jewelry, clothing, home and living, art and collectibles, bags and purses, bath and beauty, accessories, paper and party supplies, toys and games, weddings, shoes, pet supplies, electronics, craft supplies, and books, movies and music.
How it is built
It reads the same precomputed, marketplace wide dataset as Top Shops, grouped by Etsy's category tree. A shop is placed in a category by where its sales actually concentrate, then ranked within that group, so you compare like with like rather than against the whole marketplace. The grouping is computed offline and refreshed on a schedule, so the page loads instantly.
Why it matters
A global leaderboard mixes every kind of seller together. This view lets you measure yourself against the shops that do exactly what you do. It is the cleanest way to see the real bar in your category and to learn from the shops that have already cleared it. Read it alongside the Best Sellers report for the same category: this page shows who leads, the report shows which products are moving right now.
Who it is for
- Sellers benchmarking against direct competitors, not the whole marketplace.
- Anyone studying who dominates a specific category and why.
The first rows per category are open to everyone, with the full list for members.
